(This is the 3rd time I have written this blog, and somehow deleted it twice.  Wish me luck...)

Merry Christmas everyone! We wish you a wonderful Christmas and a joyous New Year. We hope that you are feeling the joy and peace that are gifts from Jesus Christ. We know he is the Savior of the world and we are thankful that He loved us enough to die for us. We testify of Him!

                              Highlights from 2019:

Nicole married Adam Kruger, and we all adore him. He brings love and tenderness into Nicole and (grandson) Kale's lives. Granddaughter Taylor graduated from BYU-I in the spring. Grandson Trey just got engaged last week! We like his choice. :)

Casey got his pilot's license last year, and is currently working on advanced training, with the hopes of becoming an instructor.

Heather has developed an incredible amount of talent for family history research. We can always count on her help to solve the mysteries. Her daughter Kaden got a drivers license and a car this year (yikes!), and Brylie once again participated in the National level archery tournament in Louisville, KY.

Ryan is loving New Mexico; I suppose he will not be moving back home. He recently took up ice hockey, and is evidently good at it.

Scott was released from the stake presidency after 13+ years. He was called to serve as stake patriarch and as a temple sealer in the Kansas City temple. I think this means we will not be moving to Florida after retirement. He also got his private pilot's license and an airplane, which were lifetime goals.

Kelli's mom died this year. She was ravaged by Lewy Body dementia, and didn't know who any of us were towards the end. We are glad she is no longer suffering.

We celebrated both of our dads' 90th birthdays!

We (Scott and Kelli) took an amazing trip overseas to visit Indonesia and India this year. Indonesia was a scuba trip with the most incredible things underwater, and India was to visit our friends who are mission president/companion there. Everything is different on the other side of the world...sights, sounds, smells, tastes. It was an amazing, incredible trip and we want to go back (and stay longer next time).

Also, we celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary this fall.   It seems that time goes by faster and faster each year. But they say, "time flies when you're having fun." We agree.

These are the main events that have happened in 2019. We are grateful to be healthy and happy as a family. Other than the cold and snow, we love living in this small town where we feel safe and needed.

Please keep in touch! Merry Christmas, with love from Scott and Kelli
